About GoalRival
A cycling-trail platform with a slightly unusual backstory.
From the pitch to the trail
A soccer site that changed lanes
GoalRival didn't start out about bikes. For years it lived as a soccer directory — a place to browse teams, fixtures, and clubs. Useful, but never quite the thing its maker actually wanted to spend nights and weekends on.
So the whole site changed lanes. It was rebuilt from the ground up around cycling — the sport its maker genuinely rides and cares about — trading match listings for trail maps. The name stuck around, though: Goal + Rival turned out to fit riders chasing goals and pushing each other just as well as it ever fit soccer.
What we do now
Trails, local knowledge, and a rival to chase
Today GoalRival helps cyclists find their next ride and know more about it before they go. It comes down to three things:
Discover trails. Search by city and browse real trail maps, elevation profiles, and rider reviews across the country.
Know the area.Incident reporting is in development — built around what riders tell us, and shown as exactly that. Until it's ready these read N/A, because we'd rather show nothing than a number we can't stand behind.
Find your rival. Get matched with a rider near your skill level, compare times, and push each other further on shared leaderboards.

Meet GAMR
GoalRival isn't the only thing being built here. The same maker also works on GAMR — a game reviews and tracker for logging what you play, rating it, and keeping your backlog honest.
If that's more your speed, take a look at gamrapp.com or grab it on the App Store.
